Os suíços do Fighter V dão um passo importante em sua trajetória com Déjà Vu, terceiro álbum de estúdio e estreia pela Frontiers Records. Fortemente ancorado na estética do melodic hard rock e do AOR oitentista, o disco equilibra reverência e identidade própria, apostando em melodias marcantes, arranjos bem construídos e uma produção mais polida.
A abertura com “Raging Heartbeat” já evidencia um dos principais diferenciais da banda: o timbre vocal de Emmo Acar, mais grave e áspero do que o habitual no AOR, conferindo personalidade ao som. Sustentada por camadas de teclados e backing vocals bem trabalhados, a faixa estabelece a base sonora que permeia boa parte do álbum — uma fusão consistente entre AOR e hard rock.
Na sequência, “Victory” surge com força de hino, apoiada em refrão expansivo, coros marcantes e guitarras de timbre refinado. A combinação de elementos clássicos do gênero se mantém em “Made For A Heartache”, que aposta em uma abordagem mais direta e imediata, com destaque para o trabalho de baixo e um refrão de fácil assimilação.
A primeira mudança mais sensível de dinâmica aparece em “Foolish Heart”, balada que mergulha de vez na atmosfera oitentista. A influência de nomes como Whitesnake se faz presente, especialmente nas linhas vocais que remetem ao estilo de David Coverdale. O uso de saxofone ao final acrescenta textura e reforça a proposta nostálgica.
A faixa-título, “Déjà Vu”, traz uma introdução moderna com batida eletrônica, rapidamente incorporada ao DNA clássico do álbum. O diálogo entre guitarra e teclado remete diretamente a referências como Deep Purple e Rainbow, evidenciando o cuidado da banda em equilibrar peso e melodia.
“Stand By Your Side” amplia o leque de influências ao incorporar elementos que evocam Def Leppard, sobretudo nos backing vocals e nas texturas eletrônicas. Essa diversidade sutil também aparece em “All Your Love”, que retorna a uma abordagem mais hard rock, enriquecida por arranjos detalhados, incluindo saxofone e intervenções narrativas que dialogam com a temática da canção.
Em “Hold The Time”, o grupo aposta em uma construção mais tradicional, com introdução marcante e desenvolvimento centrado na interação entre voz, guitarras e teclados. Já “For All This Time” reforça novamente a presença de elementos eletrônicos, criando uma atmosfera que privilegia o groove e destaca o baixo na condução da faixa.
A reta final do álbum é marcada por um aumento de intensidade. “Break Those Limits” acelera o andamento e entrega um dos momentos mais enérgicos do disco, com forte apelo melódico e estrutura pensada para impacto imediato. Por fim, “Victim Of Changes” encerra o trabalho sintetizando suas principais características, transitando entre AOR, hard rock e toques de heavy metal com eficiência.
Déjà Vu é um álbum que aposta na força de suas influências sem soar datado. Ao contrário, demonstra maturidade na forma como revisita o passado, resultando em um trabalho coeso e bem executado. Com isso, o Fighter V se consolida como um nome relevante dentro da nova geração do melodic rock europeu.

Swiss melodic rockers Fighter V take a significant step forward with Déjà Vu, their third studio album and debut release on Frontiers Records. Deeply rooted in the golden era of ’80s melodic hard rock and AOR, the record strikes a careful balance between nostalgia and identity, delivering soaring melodies, polished production, and a confident sense of direction.
Opening track “Raging Heartbeat” immediately highlights one of the band’s defining traits: Emmo Acar’s distinctive vocal tone. Grittier and more grounded than the typical AOR delivery, his voice injects character into a soundscape built on lush keyboards, layered backing vocals, and melodic guitar work. It’s an effective introduction to the album’s core formula — a seamless blend of AOR sheen and hard rock edge.
“Victory” follows with undeniable anthem potential, driven by its expansive chorus, gang vocals, and finely crafted guitar tones. The same sense of immediacy carries into “Made For A Heartache”, a more direct and punchy track where a strong rhythmic foundation and a memorable hook take center stage.
A shift in dynamics arrives with “Foolish Heart”, a power ballad steeped in ’80s atmosphere. With this release, Fighter V firmly establish themselves as a rising force within the modern melodic rock scene.
